School and Television – A Criticism of Neil Postman’s Media Thought
波斯曼继承了麦克卢汉的媒介思想，但在某些方面有所倒退。他固守印刷文化，对电视发起抨击。但他退回主客二分的思维方式，只注意媒介的认识论维度，因而忽视了儿童的积极面相以及电视的生活维度。
Postman inherited McLuhan's thinking about media, but has some retrogression. He insists on the printing culture and attacks the television. But he regresses to the dichotomy between subject and object. Since he only concerns the epistemological dimension of media, he has ignored the positive of children and life dimension of television.
