媒介的演替与人的“主体性”递归:基特勒的媒介本体论思想及审思
The succession of Media and the Recursion of Human subjectivity: Kittler’s thought and reflection on Media Ontology
基特勒的媒介思想为我们反思主流传播学重内容、轻媒介的现状、重新理解媒介提供了丰富的想象力,也为数字化生存时代的技术隐忧提供了足够的警示。他对计算机芯片架构中蕴含的权力结构的细微考察,延续了福柯的权力观,为政治哲学中的权力议题研究,理解数字媒介时代的社会权力,提供了新的思路。基特勒秉承媒介物质主义观与媒介考古学的理论分析方法路径,考察了媒介技术、媒介物质性、关系和情境之间的动态交织过程,提出媒介的“自反性递归”,重视媒介的储存功能和媒介造成的感官“断裂”效果,为丰富媒介哲学理论提供了知识经验。基特勒认为“媒介决定着我们的处境”,而人仅是媒介递归演替中如影随形的客体或参照物,并内化为媒介技术结构中的他者,媒介的自主演替伴随着人的主体性走向消逝,这映照着基特勒“去人类中心主义”的媒介观。媒介不只是人们认识和改造世界的中介化工具,而是人与媒介共在的关系。人或许应该放下人类中心主义的优越感,以谦虚、平等的态度处于“人-(媒介)物”的关系中,人存在的价值和意义才能够被凸显出来,人类才能正确对待赖以生存的世界,在人的主体性递归中达到人与媒介、自然和谐共在的理想状态。
Kittler’s media thought provides rich imagination for us to reflect on the current situation that emphasize content over media of mainstream communication and to re-understand media, and also provides enough warning for the technical hidden worry in the digital survival era. Kittler's subtle investigation of the power structure contained in the computer chip architecture, continuation of Foucault’s view of power, provides a new way to study power issues in political philosophy and understand social power in the digital media era. Adhering to the view of media materialism and the theoretical analysis method of media archaeology, Kittler examined the process of dynamic interweaving among media technology, media materiality, relations and situations in the process of historical changes. He puts forward the “reflexive recursion” of media and attaches importance to the storage function of media and the effect of sensory “fracture” caused by media. it provides knowledge experience for enriching the theory of media philosophy. He put forward that “Media determine our situation”, while human is the object or reference of the recursive of media, and internalized as the other in the structure of media technology, the independent evolution of media is accompanied by the process of the gradually disappearance of human subjectivity, which reflects the media thought of Kittler’s “de-anthropocentrism”. Kittler’s points out that media is not only an intermediary tool for people to understand and transform the world, but also the relationship between human and the media “co-existing” in the world. people should put down anthropocentrism and take the perspective of “things” and are in the relationship between “man and (media) things” with an equal and humbly attitude, the value and significance of human existence can be highlighted, and human can correctly deal with the world on which they live, and achieve the ideal state of harmonious coexistence of man, media and nature by the recursion of human subjectivity.
