本文针对方大曾其人及“小方热”，进行历史性探究与语境化分析，力求辨析一些 模糊的、似是而非的问题，指出对方大曾的宣传属于过度阐述，并非“不当（dāng）” 而是“不当（dàng）”。继而反思学风问题，强调新闻研究理应遵循的基本原则和标 准，特别是唯物史观与实事求是，即马克思主义中国化的立场、观点和方法，认同“事 实不正确，一切都不正确”。当下一些研究及其学风往往抓住一点，不及其余，只见树 木，不见森林，不仅背离唯物史观与实事求是，而且有违方汉奇、李龙牧、丁淦林等一 代新中国新闻史学家开辟的优良学统。

Based on the historical inquiry and contextual analysis about Fang Dazeng and “Xiaofang Fever”, this paper intends to clarify some plausible and ambiguous problems, pointing out that the propaganda for Xiaofang is not "wrong" but "inappropriate". Furthermore, this paper re?ects on the style of journalism research, underlining the importance of some basic principles and standards such as the materialistic interpretation of history, which means to use the stand, viewpoint and method of the localization of Marxism in China to analyze problems. Academic research must be based on facts, and once the facts are incorrect, further arguments that are built on them must be problematic. Some research at the present time take a tree for the forest and violate not only the principle of historical materialism but also the good research tradition established by journalism historians such as Fang Hanqi, Li Longmu, Ding Ganlin, etc.
