近几年中国频繁和周边国家爆发“命名冲突”。然而学界对于“命名”在中国国家 战略中的地位,一直认识不足。部分政府官员、媒体和学者往往容易把命名看成现实的 标签,而忽视了命名建构现实作用。其实自19世纪以来,以中国“天下观”主导的国际 文化秩序遭受到西方主导的殖民扩张主义和民族主义冲击后,“命名”往往成为周边国 家“去中国化”,宣示主权的手段之一。而在命名“去中国化”过程中,中国和周边国 家关于主权的想象也一直处在一种对中国不利的动态变迁之中。当今条件下,如何有效 地管控命名行为及其背后的国际争端,实现命名“再中国化”,建构国际社会于我有利 的主权想象,也许是值得研究的重要课题。

The naming conflicts between China and his neighboring countries have greatly increased in the recent years. However, the significance of the naming’s strategic position has not received enough attention and fair judgement. Some government officials, the media presses and scholars consider naming as the label of reality, ignoring that naming can construct reality. In fact, “TianXia View" of China has been impacted by Western colonial expansion and nationalism since the 19th century. Then many neighboring countries of China began to declare their sovereignty through “desinification” of naming. Meanwhile the Chinese people have gradually lost their sovereign imagination about the disputed areas. So maybe those important topics like how can China effectively control the naming behavior, sinify naming again, and construct the international sovereign imagination worth further study.
