新闻业旨在用新闻专业主义来建构职业的理想和职业规范性理论体系,但随着政治 权力与商业权力日久弥深的介入和新技术对传统的渠道霸权的解构,传统的新闻专业主 义理论受到多方面的挑战。于上世纪六十年代逐渐兴起的新闻专业主义理论,主要是基 于主体中心理性或者工具理性来建构自己的理论框架的,其理论缺陷在网络社会背景 下,似难以通过简单的修补得到实现,因此需要新的理论资源。哈贝马斯提出的交往理 性,就是重构新闻专业主义理念最可行的理论基石。

Journalism is aimed at constructing career ideals and career regulation theory hierarchies by using the journalistic professionalism. However, with the growing involvement of political and commercial powers, and the deconstruction of traditional channel hegemony by new media technology, the traditional journalistic professionalism have been challenged by diverse aspects. The journalistic professionalism theory, which gradually emerged in 1960s, was constructed based on the subject-centered rationality or instrumental rationality. In the network society environment the demerits of this theory can hardly be eliminated by simple mending, and hence new theoretical resources are needed. The concept of communicative rationality, proposed by Habermas, is the most feasible theoretical basement to reconstruct the idea of journalistic professionalism.
