摘要

气候报道,并非只关乎科学与技术。相反,它是一个充满话语权力争夺的议题领域。本文结
合引起广泛争议的PM2.5议题,探讨在一个民族国家的内部,不同立场媒体对于新兴的气候变化
议题,存在着怎样的框架争夺、共鸣与扩散。针对在意识形态、商业利益以及专业主义等方面秉
持不同立场的报纸《人民日报》、《南方都市报》和《科技日报》的框架分析发现,在多个框架
的运用之中,《南方都市报》都是框架制定者,它所选择的框架随着时间推移被其他两份报纸沿
用。框架的扩散导致媒体的联动,提升了报道广度与深度。这一框架扩散过程无论对于PM2.5议
题的突显,还是对于治理政策或公众舆论的推进,都有深远的影响。

Abstract

News coverage on climate change is not just about science and technology. Rather, it is an arena full
of struggle among power of discourses. Analyzing news coverage on the controversial PM2.5 issue, this
study explores how different media frames contest, resonate and diffuse among each other, regarding the
emerging climate change problem. Frame analysis on three different newspapers in terms of ideological
and commercial interests, as well as professionalism--People's Daily, South Metropolitan Daily and
Science and Technology Daily—reveals that for multiple frames used in the news, South Metropolitan Daily functioned as framework makers, for its frames were likely to be followed by the other two newspapers. The diffusion of media frames led to media resonance and thus enhanced the breadth and
depth of coverage. This frame diffusion process has a profound impact not only on the visibility of
PM2.5 issue, but also on the advancement of policy-making and public opinion.
