人格失焦:数字原住民人格特质与微信个人资料图像的自我呈现
The Indeterminate Personality: The relationship between Digital Natives’ Personality Traits and WeChat Profile Image
WeChat users' profile image is one of the key points to analyze the survival psychology and behavior on the internet. Whether the self-presentation behavior in social network is a reflection and extension of real life has always been controversial. Based on the self-presentation theory, the Big-five structure theory and the perspective of personality psychology, this paper conducts a quantitative analysis and takes the profile image of digital native WeChat users as the research object to investigate the influence of the personality traits on self-presentation. The research finds that the higher the score of the digital natives WeChat users' personality traits, the more inclined to use their own image. The choice of specific profile image is more of a random expression. And, differences in personality traits do not significantly affect the choice of personal profile image. However, most of the five factors of digital native WeChat users' personality traits have correlations, and there are significantly differences in the performance of correlation between the two types of users who use their own image or not. The research also finds that digital natives WeChat users prefer to use image that do not contain their own, which is quite different from similar researches on Facebook users abroad.

Face perception, perhaps the most highly developed visual skill in humans, is mediated by a distributed neural system in humans that is comprised of multiple, bilateral regions. We propose a model for the organization of this system that emphasizes a distinction between the representation of invariant and changeable aspects of faces. The representation of invariant aspects of faces underlies the recognition of individuals, whereas the representation of changeable aspects of faces, such as eye gaze, expression, and lip movement, underlies the perception of information that facilitates social communication. The model is also hierarchical insofar as it is divided into a core system and an extended system. The core system is comprised of occipitotemporal regions in extrastriate visual cortex that mediate the visual analysis of faces. In the core system, the representation of invariant aspects is mediated more by the face-responsive region in the fusiform gyrus, whereas the representation of changeable aspects is mediated more by the face-responsive region in the superior temporal sulcus. The extended system is comprised of regions from neural systems for other cognitive functions that can be recruited to act in concert with the regions in the core system to extract meaning from faces.

Generational differences are seen as the cause of wide shifts in our ability to engage with technologies and the concept of the digital native has gained popularity in certain areas of policy and practice. This paper provides evidence, through the analysis of a nationally representative survey in the UK, that generation is only one of the predictors of advanced interaction with the Internet. Breadth of use, experience, gender and educational levels are also important, indeed in some cases more important than generational differences, in explaining the extent to which people can be defined as a digital native. The evidence provided suggests that it is possible for adults to become digital natives, especially in the area of learning, by acquiring skills and experience in interacting with information and communication technologies. This paper argues that we often erroneously presume a gap between educators and students and that if such a gap does exist, it is definitely possible to close it.
