近年来舆论史的研究逐渐兴起，但仍很薄弱，重要原因是不被新闻学与传播学的承认，而作为历史中的专门史也未被重视。对中国舆论史的研究有助于以史为鉴、深刻理解中国当前的舆论环境、建设有中国特色的舆论学和扩展新闻传播史的研究，它是新闻学与传播学的重要组成部分，其研究对象应该包括自古至今的舆论历史，而不仅仅是新闻媒介出现后的舆论。

The research of public opinion has been attached great importance recently whereas it is still weak. The main reason is that it is not recognized by journalism and communication, nor taken seriously by history. Nevertheless, the study of Chinese public opinion is not only helpful for people to learn from the past and then pursue a deeper understanding of public opinion environment in China, but also useful for undergoing the research of public opinion and journalism and communication in China. It is the integral part of journalism and communication and it should study the history of public opinion from the beginning in China instead of the history since the emergence of news media.
