The term Duojie Lo:nian is an analytical concept derived from prolonged feld researches and is intended to interpret the media practices which encompass the institutions, personnel and technologies concerning mobile flm screening in China’s specifc historical and cultural contexts. The paper frstly examines the word “Mu” from the perspective of etymology and then, by drawing upon relevant theories of “agency” and “embodiment”, it enriches the theoretical implications of Duojie Lo:nian. Hence the paper completes the re-interpretation of China’s mobile flm screening.
