From the very beginning of modern journalism history, “authenticity” has been the core value of journalism. To establish a cultural authority of truth, a set of eyewitness-centered strategies have been developed in news practice. Nevertheless, the authenticity of eyewitness was always accompanied by skepticism in journalism history which led to a deep doubt on the ability of traditional ways of news production to obtain and present truth.
