Abstract

From the perspective of social constructivism, human emotions are based on biological reaction, but they are mainly the result of social construction. Culture and language are important means of emotional construction. The communication of individual emotions in social network through language is essentially the group emotional interaction ritual with emotional understanding as the core. By setting up weak ties, the Internet group communication helps expand people’s social network and promote quantitative change of individual emotions in communication scope and qualitative change of emotional property, thus forming social emotional public opinion. The internet language with dual emotional genes at superfcial and deep layers realizes group communication through meme duplication. In this process, the internet language has three effects: cohesive effect, which can promote deep emotional integration and form social public opinion; transference effect, which can promote emotion conversion and guide public opinion with its superfcial entertainment and game characteristics; and sediment effect, which can construct the social culture borne and maintained by the Internet language by accumulating social emotion climate and depositing social participation genes.
