The article aims to explain the media’s adaptive adjustments to the current crisis with the concept of liquid modernity by Zygmunt Bauman. The author interviewed many key personnel in news APP “M”. At the technical level, the media had made a big change to adapt to the liquid society. But in terms of value, the media still adhere to the tradition, appreciating investigative report and exclusive report. However, in consideration of social stratifcation, the media’s in?uence has declined, so it has to attract niches with more narrowed topics.
