Review of Chinese Journalism Studies in 2018
This paper selected original literature on journalism from nearly 30 Chinese journals in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in 2018. After further subdividing and sorting out these literature, we found that the study of Marxist views of journalism in 2018 pay attention to the early practical tradition of propaganda and journalsim of the Communist Party of China; Researchers discussed some classical issues in journalism study, such as journalism professionalism and sociology of journalism production, they pay more attention to combing the theoretical context and clarifying the basic concepts; Academic responses to the changing of China journalism are more calmness, On the one hand, they continue to use the existing theoretical framework and conceptual resources to explain the new industry ecosystem, on the other hand, they focus on the complexity and uncertainty of the overall transformation of journalism; the study of journalism and communication history which on the history of news idea and newspaper-reading from different social groups are more conspicuous; The exploration of four relatively new topics of non-fctional, algorithmic news, journalistic innovation and posttruth in journalism study show a gradual deepening trend in a pluralistic perspective.
