A New Revolution of Content Industry in the Age of Intelligence

Abstract

The ingress of artificial intelligence and other technologies into content industry is resulting in upgrading of content production, distribution and consumption. Driven by intelligent technology, content production 2.0 brings reforms of all links in the production chain. With the use of intelligent algorithm, content distribution 2.0 is changing content disseminating mechanism. And in content consumption 2.0, users’ information consumptions are affected both by personalized needs and socialized circumstances, and as prosumers, their consumption and production behaviors are always bound together. The relationships among content production, distribution and consumption are also redefned, with mutual penetration and blur of previous boundaries. Platforms which integrate production, distribution and consumption together, are reconstructing the ecology of content industry. All these changes lead to a new revolution of content industry.
