The Epochal Scene and Academic Orientation : Reconstructing Chinese Communication Studies
This paper summarizes the development of Chinese communication in the past 40 years with the four key words of “introduction”, “adoption”, “dialogue” and “reconstruction”. It points out that Chinese communication studies are not the result of academic colonization, and puts forward that the age scene determines the academic orientation. Chinese communication studies should maintain its own rational strength, adhere to the cultural subjectivity and humanistic values. This paper also reviews the studies of media science, publicity, urban and rural communication.
