Silvio R. waisbord, graduated from the University of California at San Diego Department of sociology. Currently, He is a professor of media and public affairs in George Washington University, He served as a editor for International Journal of Press/Politics academic journal from 2008-2014, and as a editor for Journal of Communication form 2015-2019. He published hundreds of academic articles in English and Spanish, and as a member of the editorial board of academic journals and reviewers which use English and Spanish. He mainly focused on media sociology, journalism, global media etc. January 6, 2018 to 11, he first came to China who was invited by the Renmin University of China School of journalism, where our scholars have conducted academic exchanges face-to-face.
