The national characteristics of one nation or a country can be regarded as psychological inclinations and behavioral features shared by the great majority of members of the society, which are largely determined by its geographical environment, religious belief and level of economic development. The Russian national characteristics are rather complex, for they are influenced by various factors.Taking the perspective of national characteristics, this paper explores the intrinsic logic as well as the law of development of Russian society and media through a solid analysis of the change of its state system and attempts to obtain a profound understanding of Russian society and the trend of its media evolution.
