Media and Migrant Workers in Social Reconstruction: Review onSeeing and Being Seen VS Gaze and Power
Pr. Li Hongyan’s work, Seeing and Being Seen VS. Gaze and Power, carries out in-depth discussion relying on abundant individual cases since the Reform and Opening-up, to study the changes of media and its relationship with the migrant workers, the developing locus of the relation between the media and peasant-workers in the past 3 decades, and how and to what extent this development locus was presented. Through the discussion of the concept of “The third generation of migrant workers”, this article affirms the significance of Professor Li Hongyan’s expansion and integration on the basis of previous researches.
