Abstract

Artifcial intelligence and big data technology being used into the feld of journalism has brought aboue a new model of news production. Automated journalism is one of the news production intelligence. This paper combs the practice status of automation journalism in China and abroad, describing how it works, and analyzing its advantages and limitations. Although automatted journalism has obvious advantages such as fastness, accuracy and pertinence, there are also some limitations in topic, readability and interpretation of report. The reformation which caused by the automated journalism will make a profound in?uence not only on the traditional production mechanism and the traditional concept of journalism, but also on the direction of journalist’s career, the audience and society.
