Study on “Journalism View”

Abstract

‘View’ is subjects’ fundamental or systematic opinion about certain objects. Journalistic idea on ‘view’ level is ‘journalistic view’, and it is also fundamental and systematic opinion of what journalism “is”, especially “ought to be”. Journalism views have different specific constructions in different perspectives, but the ‘journalistic view of value’ is always the core of every type of ‘journalism view’. The dominant journalistic view in current Chinese journalism is Marxist journalistic view has indigenous and contemporary characteristics. Journalistic view is journalistic subjects' journalistic belief. It is not only fundamental but also is an overall ideology to guide practice, soul to build journalism community, and idea tool for journalistic subjects to make self-maintenance and debate with others.
