A Study on Media Trainees’ Attitudes toward Media Ethical Disputes and Their Influence Factors
The study examines the performance of media trainees’ attitudes toward media ethics disputes and their influence factors, through a survey from 490 interviews in nine China universities. Results show that media trainees have lower overall acceptance of media ethics disputes and different attitudes toward different behaviors. A deviation exists between their actual behaviors and attitudes. In terms of influence factors, trainees who have more journalism education experience have lower acceptance of media ethics disputes, which is contrary to satisfaction of internship. Meanwhile, the “demonstration effects” from example groups and “peer effects” from peer groups are both significant.
