Abstract

New Media Research of 2016, on the one hand, synchronize with technology like Big Data, cloud computing, IoT, and artifcial intelligence, the process of synchronization also guides further development of the research itself. On the other hand, the research shows a diversifed and refned characteristic which takes a different research approach and orientation, digs deep into a specifc problem or case and strives to make an accurate and detailed description of the new media phenomenon. In addition, the pan-media time is coming when everything may become media, the generalization of media not only provides new research subjects and research felds for new media research, but also brings great impact on the existing theories and research paradigms. Therefore, scholars begin to re?ect on the keyword of "technology", hoping to bring innovation and breakthrough in research paradigm, and fnally promoting the development of the discipline of journalism and communication.
