Abstract

The paper firstly elaborates the concepts of "credibility" and "public trust". Secondly it investigates six aspects of the credibility by opinions ofthe German audiences on toward Chinese Media organizations, which are less trusted. Only one aspect reached to 21.9%, others reached to 20%. Furthermore it compares the credibility to among fve big famous media news agencies,including Xinhua News Agency,including Xinhua News Agency, Associated Press (AP), Reuters, L'Agence France-Presse (AFP), Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA). It finds that the credibility of Xinhua News Agency is the lowest, and fewer citationless cited from by other news agencies. This leads to the less power of the Chinese News news informed by Xinhua News Agency in the world to be read and to in?uence the other parts of the world. The paper also analyzes the credibility of Xinhua News Agency among the German audiences from the different groups to understand the reasons of f the lower credibility of Xinhua News Agency in Germany.
