Failure of Opinion Leaders: the Broken Chain of Political Communication in Contemporary China
Traditional Chinese Society used culture oriented "state - civil ruling elite - the mass" two-step communication model to realize governance and rule of the vast territory under the limited material and technical conditions. After the founding of New China, the Chinese Communist Party, relying on party organizations and party members, fully integrate the formal and informal power structure to form a “party state - party - the masses” two-step communication model. Under the path of political development of contemporary China, spontaneous social power is growing, however political communication system is facing the plight of failure of opinion leaders.
