The Comparison and Deliberation upon Data Journalists’ Cultivation Between China and America

Abstract

The improvement in journalism asks for the corresponding change, especially for the journalists, whose knowledge and skills are crucial to the work. Thus, schools of journalism, the main area training the journalists, are supposed to keep up to date and optimize their teaching patterns of professional skills. This article is aimed at exploring new suitable teaching patterns for China on journalism and communication, which can be concluded by comparing the features in journalists’ cultivation in both China and America. Besides, only could they realize the demand of data journalists, develop the Internet sharing platforms, integrate the education resources, can those schools of journalism prepare adequately to the new challenges.
