Abstract

In a themed of science and environment news reports, there are two kinds of risk communication approaches: technology and democracy. Technology-orientated reports is conducive to make quick decisions, while defy the principle of openness and fairness. Anyway, democratic-orientated reports pay attention to ecological and cultural views with amplification of risk, which may lead to difficult decision. This paper selects the reports on maglev to analyze and points out that the risk communication should be a reasonable balance of science and environment, contributing to the consensus and cooperation of all parties of risk.
