Data Journalism: An Area Need Urgently to Be Regulated ——A Quatitative Study Based on Five Domestic Data News Columns

Abstract

This article defines foreign professional standards of data journalism through literature review firstly, then with some content analysis on five domestic data journalism columns, we try to figure out if a professional regulation or standard has been established in the field of domestic data journalism area. Our study finally find out that the area of data journalism does need urgently to be regulated. Lack of regulations and professional standards is gradually damaging the credibility and professionalism of this ara. As a consequence, the advantage and competiveness of data journalism will also be deeply influenced.
