Abstract

The study takes the editorial of Global Times and Hu Xijin’s microblog as the research objects. The study aims to find out the relation of the news product and personal comments through analysis of news frames and discourse structures on the two different platforms which are influenced by Hu Xijin. The results show that the high-frequency words, the news frame structure and the usage of emotional discourse in both of the spaces have relatively high similarity. The tendency of the usage of emotional discourses accords with Global Times’ orientation and social reality. Simultaneously, the subtle differences of the frame and the emotional expressions can be explained by the established distinction orientation of the media attributes.
