international image has become part of soft power constructions among countries. There exists close
inner logic interaction and theoretical relations between cultural diplomacy and international image.
Cultural diplomacy plays three major roles in international image construction: promote favorable
international image, repair the damaged international image, and build up a new international image.
Image is the core factor of one country's soft power and cultural diplomacy approach is important for
China to construct "Cultural Great Nation".
