Abstract

This paper focus on adolescent parasocial interaction (PSI). Based on a survey of 576 adolescents,
the author finds that the adolescent PSI is more rational. There is no difference in gender in their PSI, but
the older the adolescent is, the lower the PSI is. Moreover, the longer time the adolescent watch TV, the
stronger the PSI is. Finally, those who report difficulties in interpersonal interaction in reality seem to
have stronger PSI.
