Abstract

In the history of radio broadcasting in the Republic of China, the realization of broadcasting’s
political functions began with the establishment of KMT’s Radio broadcasting. Since the Republic of
China has an obvious characteristic of “partyistic–state” which was reflected in Three Principles of the
People, the radio broadcasting need to help the country to build political identity and cultural identity.
However, the full realization of the political function, made radio broadcasting gradually become the
mouthpiece of party-controlled state, but lost the essential popularity and modernization.
