Government Trust Constructing and Psychology Guiding of Mass Media in Demolition: An Empirical Analysis of Tang Fuzhen Selfimmolation
Based on an empirical investigation, the paper suggests that the mass media’s improper performance in the report of Tang Fuzhen self-immolation incident has caused "demolition psychology". By improving the current communication structure, media can shape the public rational perception about government, dredge negative emotions, and relieve conflict between the government and the public. Thus, media may play a role in slowreleasing demolition psychology and rebuilding government trust.
