Abstract

        This paper studies the literatures on crisis communication published by four core academic journals in the field of journalism and communication since the outbreak of SARS in 2003 in China. It uses the quantitative method to analyze its theoretical tradition and contributions, research perspectives and frameworks, and priorities and topics. It also makes a comparative study with communication research in western countries so as to find out the achievements, differences and research orientation in the future.
