It is the requirements of the times to clarify dominated journalism outlook and establish explicit
journalism. This article argues that “Developmental Journalistic Professionalism”, which based on the
combination of “Developmental Journalism” and “Professional Journalism”, will be a possible choice of
dominated journalism outlook in contemporary China. In the view of idealism, Developmental Journalistic
Professionalism is a journalism that would contribute to the promotion of news industry, the overall social
improvement and the benign interaction between journalism and other social areas.
