Abstract

This article uses the “internet information privacy concerns” model to explore the network
information privacy concerns in the general network usage and network privacy protection behavior.
It finds that college students in Shanghai generally worry about their network privacy and information
security, and believe that they lack the ability to protect their internet information privacy; female
students are more concerned about their information privacy; the longer the internet use the lower the
information privacy concerns. In the future study, “trust” and other factors as mediated or moderated
variables should be used to explain the complex relationship between privacy concerns and privacy
protection behaviors.
