The Ban on the Leipziger Allgemeine Zeitung within the Prussian State: Karl Marx’s Concept of “People’s Press”

Abstract

In the end of 1842, the Leipziger Allgemeine Zeitung has been banned within the Prussian state. Karl Marx published 7 passages in Rheinische Zeitung in January of 1843 to defend for Leipziger Allgemeine Zeitung and explained his concept of “people’s press”.
