Abstract

  Based on methods of word frequency analysis and social network analysis, the paper makes an empirical analysis on the four editions of Code of Ethics for Chinese Journalists (1991, 1994, 1997 and 2009 edition). It finds the problems of China’s current journalistic ethics code on content expression, such as the changeless language style, the lack of professional words but rich of political words, the weakness of operability. The paper concludes that current journalistic ethics code is facing to be a hollow status or bring negative effects.
