On the Role of News Media in the Formation of Civil Society in the
United States
As a provider of public sphere and opinion forum, a striver for citizenship and public right and
a promoter of civic association and public affairs, news media plays an irreplaceable role in terms of
meeting the conditions of the basic elements of United States Civil Social Framework.
