Since modern times, the value norms of western journalism have landed in China as an imported product, enlightening and even trying to dominate the development process of China’s journalism. However, the independent approach of China’s journalism has not been covered by the value norms of Western Journalism. In fact, based on the context of journalism practice with Chinese characteristics, China’s journalism recognizes the typical characteristics of Chinese news publicity work different from the west, and it grasps its own internal law of journalism development, creatively understands and applies the western journalism value concept and Marxist journalism value concept, critically absorbs the value tradition bred by Chinese history and culture, and it has formed a unique and scientific journalism value system different from the West - a value system with “communication” as the core, with “education” function and adhering to “truth, freedom and objectivity”. Among them, the emphasis on the value concept of communication and education constitutes the most significant characteristics and value of China's journalism value system different from the West.
