Abstract

By analyzing journalists’ discourses and discussions about the hot topic “Jiang Yiping’s retirement”, this study aims to discuss the reconstruction of journalistic authority from the perspective of collective memory. The study explores how Chinese journalists interpreted Jiang Yiping’s retirement and the meaning of this hot topic to the news industry.
